Why we built this
ForLowerBills is a veteran-owned site, and we know how much it means when someone chooses your business. Veterans bring the same discipline, care and follow-through to their businesses that they brought to their service. We want those businesses to be easy to find.
We built this program together with Veterans Helping Veterans In Business, our Facebook community where veterans support each other in business. Every branch is welcome: Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Space Force and Coast Guard, plus the National Guard and Reserve.

How to sign up
- Open our Advertise page with code VeteranOwned already applied.
- Pick Basic placement and fill in your listing. No card is needed today.
- Check the box: "I confirm this business is owned by a U.S. military veteran." and choose your veteran status: Veteran Owned Business or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business. Military spouses: choose the military spouse option, add your Veteran spouse's name and branch, and check "I confirm I am married to a U.S. military Veteran."
- Add a view-only Google Drive link to a redacted copy of your DD214 and photo ID (military spouses: your ID plus your Veteran spouse's DD214). The form shows the steps. It's free and takes about 5 minutes.

Veteran Owned Business Directory FAQ
Who can list in the Veteran Owned Business Directory?
Any business owned by a U.S. military veteran, from any branch and any era, anywhere in the U.S. Businesses owned by the spouse of a U.S. military Veteran can list too, and they can use the Veteran Owned Business Deal. Their listings are marked Military spouse-owned.
How do you confirm veteran ownership?
When you sign up with code VeteranOwned, you check the box "I confirm this business is owned by a U.S. military veteran." and share a view-only Google Drive link to a redacted copy of your DD214 and photo ID. Military spouses check the box "I confirm I am married to a U.S. military Veteran.", tell us their Veteran spouse's name and branch, and share their own ID plus their Veteran spouse's DD214. The sign-up form walks you through it step by step. As with any business, please do your own research before you buy. If you need federal contracting certification, the SBA's free VetCert program (opens in a new tab) is the official route.
Is the directory only for one city or state?
No. The directory covers the whole U.S. Businesses that serve the whole country show for everyone, and local businesses show in the states and areas they serve. Use the State or area filter to look close to home.
What does the Veteran Owned Business Deal cost?
Your first 6 months on the Basic plan are free. Then it's $9/month for 12 months instead of $59, then $29/month, half off our regular price, for as long as your spot stays active. No contracts, cancel anytime. Use code VeteranOwned on our Advertise page.

Yes. Listings are Basic Listing placements, and they are labeled Sponsored, like every paid or free-period placement on ForLowerBills.com. Being listed never changes our editorial guides or recommendations.
