VA Disability Payment: No November 2026 Payment, Next Is Dec 1

By the ForLowerBills Editorial Team · Reviewed by the ForLowerBills Editorial Team against official sources · Last updated: November 1, 2026 · Sources checked: November 1, 2026 · How we research

There is no VA disability payment in November 2026 because the October payment arrived early, on Friday, Oct. 30. Your next payment is Tuesday, December 1, 2026.

Why There's No VA Payment in November 2026

The VA pays disability compensation in arrears: each month's benefit is paid on the 1st of the next month. The October 2026 payment was due Nov. 1, 2026, which was a Sunday.

Federal law, 38 U.S.C. § 5120(e) (opens in a new tab), says that when the 1st of a month falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the VA pays on the Friday before. When the 1st is a federal holiday, it pays on the weekday before the holiday. So October's payment moved to Friday, Oct. 30, and November has no regular deposit.

Your bank may post the money a little earlier or later. To confirm your own dates and amounts, sign in to VA.gov payment history (opens in a new tab).

Next VA Payment Dates

We worked out these dates from the rule above and checked each weekday against the calendar. The VA can change dates, so check VA.gov to confirm.

Plan for the Gap Until Dec. 1

From Oct. 30 to Dec. 1 is 32 days between deposits. Keep part of the Oct. 30 payment set aside for November bills, and check any autopay that drafts in late November. Remember the Dec. 31 payment has to cover January.

Frequently asked questions

Why no VA payment in November?

VA pays each month's benefit on the 1st of the next month. The October 2026 payment was due Sunday, Nov. 1, so federal law moved it up to Friday, Oct. 30. That leaves no regular VA deposit in November 2026.

When is my next VA disability payment?

Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2026. That payment covers November 2026.

Will I get two VA payments in December 2026?

Yes, most likely. You should get one on Tue, Dec. 1 (for November) and one on Thu, Dec. 31 (for December), because Jan. 1, 2027 is New Year's Day.

Did I get paid twice in October?

Yes. The September benefit came Thu, Oct. 1, and the October benefit came early on Fri, Oct. 30. It's not extra money. It's the same monthly amount, paid sooner.

What if my Dec. 1 payment doesn't show up?

Check your payment history on VA.gov first. Banks can post deposits at different times. If it's still missing, call the VA at 800-827-1000 (TTY: 711).
